The History and Honor of Combat Medicine
Medical Corps' Combat / Field Medicine School
Medical Corps first introduced Combat Medicine (Medical Response in Hostile Environments) to the public in 1995. Until Medical Corps, the public did not have access to the principles and discipline which is the standard of Navy Medicine.
In its simplest, good medicine is the care of the sick and injured. And the paradigm to accomplish this is, doing what needs to be done, when it needs to be done.
Medical Corps' Field Medicine course is an intense, 3-day classroom and field training program, designed to provide students with hands-on training.
The hands-on course teaches:
- suturing and minor surgery
- bandaging wounds and lacerations
- medications
- sterile procedure
- Nuclear, Biological and Chemical preparedness
- fracture management & casting, and
- dental emergencies, temporary fillings and recementing crowns
The course is sponsored and taught by Medical Corps instructors.
This site is designed to provide physicians, nurses, corpsmen, medics paramedics, mothers, fathers, farmers, sailors and anyone who cares to study,
expert guidance on safe and effective medical care in the extreme settings which are at hand.

This is KIO3. It can help protect you.
If there's a "nuclear event," and you're down-wind,
you need to take KIO3 or KI before the radioactive plume reaches you.
If you don't have KIO3 or KI at the time of the event, then it's probably too late.
Please note: KIO3 is FDA approved, while a number of studies link KI with cancer.
For more information or to buy KIO3, click here or call 740-434-5605.
